The Festival is on Sunday 22 March from 11am-4pm at Benjafield Park, Moonah.
There are several ways to get to the Festival:
- Ride your bike.
- Catch the bus – Metro Tasmania have buses running along Main Road, Moonah every 30 minutes on Sundays. From Main Road you can walk down Hopkins Street to Benjafield Park or use the free shuttle service from the Moonah Car Park (behind Dickinsons Arcade) which runs a continuous service from the car park to the Festival and return between 11am-4pm.
- Drive – there is no parking on the Festival site, but free parking is available in the streets around Benjafield Park. You can also park your car in the Moonah Car Park and use the free shuttle service.
There is accessible parking on the Festival site – please enter via the Gormanston Road entrance. You must display your tag.
Yes, the area is mostly flat and there are pathways on the festival site.
Entry to the festival is free! Just bring yourself and your appetite!
All the activities, workshops and musical performances are free. The food stalls will have food available for sale at various prices, including some low cost options.
If you have any questions on the day, please go to the information booth and ask one of our friendly volunteers.
Yes, many of the stalls in the Nyrstar Eat Street will have vegetarian and/or gluten free options.
The Festival is a smoke free event.
The Festival is an alcohol free event.
There will be an ATM on site. The food stalls will not have eftpos facilities so please bring some cash with you if you would like to purchase some food.
Yes! Please bring a chair or blanket and sit down and watch some of the great performances.
Yes there will be a first aid post on site.
Yes, there will be a parenting marquee where people can change or feed their babies.
Benjafield Park is an on-lead dog area, so if you bring your 4-legged friend please make sure they are on a lead. Please remember that there will be lots of people, so your dog might prefer to stay at home.
All our performers have approximate performance times listed on the event program. For more specific times please ask at the Information booth.
Individual copies of the event program won’t be available, however we will have some large copies of the program near the information booth and the stages.
We intend to go ahead sunshine or rain! In the unlikely event that we need to cancel the Festival, please keep an eye on the Festival website or facebook page for more information. We will only cancel the event, if weather has made it unsafe for participants and visitors.
